The Rolling Stones are performing a free,open air concert in Havana,Cuba on 25 March.It will be the first open air concert by a British rock band in the country's history.Indeed,it will be the Stones' first ever performance in the Caribbean.The show will be held at the Ciudad Deportiva de la Habana.
This unique occasion follows their highly successful recent tour of Latin America.It saw the Stones play to large crowds and favourable reviews in Santiago;Buenos Aires;Montevideo;Rio De Janeiro;Sao Paolo;Porte Alegre;Lima;Bogota;and Mexico City.*
The Rolling Stones concert is emblematic of Cuba's new opportunities following the re-establishment of diplomatic ties with the United States and President Barack Obama's visit to Havana this week.
