Point Blank:Air War Drills Show NATO Determination
The skies over the North Sea were full of NATO warbirds as a one-day air battle was simulated.Participants included more than 50 warplanes of the US Air Force;US Marine Corps; Royal Air Force; and Royal Netherlands Air Force.The complex scenario emphasised defensive counter air integration.It allowed our warfighters to practise fighting a near-peer adversary, boosting interoperability with a range of airframes.According to LTC Joseph F Freshour, Commander of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 211,VFMA-211, out of Yuma, Arizona:
